Dealing with the Loss of Your Pet

Undoubtedly one of the most challenging and emotionally difficult parts of being a veterinarian is helping your clients when their animals die or are euthanized. This brochure is a helpful tool in assisting your clients not only with the decision to euthanize, but with the grief process following a pet's death. It details the stages of grief, offers creative suggestions for working through the process, discusses when to get another pet, and how to help children and surviving pets with the grieving process.

Fleas

This brochure covers the flea life cycle, signs of infestation, treatments for the pet and the pet's environment, and warnings about the appropriate use of flea medications.

Resources for School Visits/Career Days

Planning a visit to a school for a career day or other event? We have a variety of resources to assist you in highlighting the important role of the veterinary profession in animal and human health. We have a DVD, posters, and brochures on careers in veterinary medicine for high schoolers, safety and pet care videos geared toward elementary and middle school students, as well as books you can read to early elementary school students and preschoolers about taking care of their pets. Coloring and activity sheets are available. We customize each order to your specific classroom/career fair visit. We have gathered a wide range of display material, from animal skeletons to educational posters and a tabletop display.
